For the TENTH year in a row, Shingle & Gibb Automation will be supporting the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program.
Once again this year, we will be an official “drop-off” site. The boxes will be set up in the lobby in Moorestown, and next week we will be making the annual Shingle Shopping Spree to seed the boxes with a couple of thousand dollars’ worth of toys!
The Toys for Tots Program began back in 1947, and over the past 69 years has distributed about half a billion toys to hundreds of millions of children who otherwise may not get to experience the magic of Christmas. This Program is a huge undertaking and takes an incredible amount of coordination and energy. Indeed, it takes an organization as strong and capable as the United States Marine Corps to successfully pull it off year in and year out – an organization that boasts amongst its Veterans our very own Ralph and Matt.
In addition, we will be collecting toys from any Shingle Team Members and Supplier Partners who feel they would like to contribute. Feel free to bring your contributions to the Company Wide Meeting on December 6th. Later in December the folks from Toys For Tots will be coming by to pick up the toys and transport them to the regional collection center, where they will be combined with other donated Toys from all around our area and then distributed by the Marine Corps Reserve.
There are some requests by the Toys for Tots Program regarding the gifts that are donated:
