This system course is for SIMATIC S7-1200 PLC users who are involved with developing or sustaining automation systems and their application programs. This course is for users needing advanced programming and configuration skills and who may use the extended system functions.

The goal of this course is to help the student build skills utilizing the programming and extended system functionality of the:

  • S7-1200 system
  • STEP7 engineering tool
  • WinCC Basic, Human Machine Interface (HMI)

This Lunch & Learn demonstrates how seamless is to integrate SINAMICS Drives into both EtherNet/IP and PROFINET networks, along with the benefits of standardizing their machine or panel design on one hardware solution to cover both applications. The presentation also covers the specifics of how Users would program a Rockwell controller to control SINAMICS Drives, including the supporting resources that are available free of charge to customers such as programming Videos, Application Notes, and Add-on-Instructions for the different type of controls.

This is a hands-on opportunity to experience how the Totally Integrated Automation Portal (TIA Portal) can reduce engineering development and machine downtime. In this seminar you will work through a series of hands-on modules with the TIA Portal engineering software to configure an automation station consisting of a S7-1500 and S7-1200 PLC, HMI Comfort Panel, ET 200SP remote I/O and a SINAMICS G120 drive and motor.”
